Istanbul , Turkey pictures

Turkey blends the best of the East and the West and the modern with the traditional. It boasts more Greek ruins than Greece and more Roman archaeological sites than Italy. Feel the magic of Turkey in its history, culture, exotic nature and warm hospitality. Explore the invaluable remnants of early Greek civilization, Byzantine majesty, and Ottoman culture and artistry.

I fell in love with Turkish chicken iskander , lahmahcun , donor pancake, Turkish Apple Teas and the Mediterranean food and of coz, Turkish men and Lebanon men . Having tried ALLLLL the Turkish restaurants and the Arabic restaurants and the Russian restaurants in Singapore, I am left wanting more.... It is healthy food too. There's no one "Mediterranean" diet. At least 16 countries border the Mediterranean Sea. Diets vary between these countries and also between regions within a country. Many differences in culture, ethnic background, religion, economy and agricultural production result in different diets. But the common Mediterranean dietary pattern has these characteristics:

- high consumption of fruits, vegetables, bread and other cereals, potatoes, beans, nuts and seeds
- olive oil is an important monounsaturated fat source
- dairy products, fish and poultry are consumed in low to moderate amounts, and little red meat is eaten
- eggs are consumed zero to four times a week
- wine is consumed in low to moderate amounts
