Bread - If on Piano

Gorgeous Chelsea

10 years from now >>>>> sept 12 th 2017

On a forum I belong to, someone handsome and delicious recently started a thread entitled “Describe a day in your life - 10 years from now”. Here’s what I came up with. Disclaimer: I have a reputation for being a braggart on said forum (my “forum character”. which happens to be my actual character too) but really, none of this stuff it completely outside the realm of possibility, I feel…

5:00 - I wake up and my dog pass me the morning papers. I take a look at the day’s press whilst printing my architecture drawings on my mac. My face is on the front page again.

The article is about me being one of the Top Female Architects to get appointed to the Design Team to decorate Mr Donald Trump's skyscaper in Dubai. He wants to incorporate a 3 - storey penthouse for his son , Barron Trump. I am an expert in Photoshop ,Autocad ,Intellicad and 3d studio max. Donald Trump's secretary calls me at 6am to remind me of the discussion later for his new SUPER LUXURY office skyscaper in Dubai. Wired has name-dropped me again. Forbes seems to think they know how much I’m worth.

I am worth about US $200 million. so little..in today terms...

Checking my mails I see that I’ve been invited to speak at the 2017 Architectural Conference in London. Again. Better start thinking of a clever presentation. I get my British - chinese husband , to do the proposal for me .

7:30 - Take a peepee on my luxurious pink fur toilet and have a Vichy shower massage.

8:00 - Wake up the children and ask what they would like for breakfast. My children, having been raised on excellent home-cooking (my British-Chinese hubby and I are accomplished cooks) have no desire to eat the usual sugar-laden cereals and pop-tarts that the other kids do. My son ,Aaron Zegna , asks for English breakfast with scramble eggs and baked beans and my beautiful daughter,
Chelsea Elizabeth , wants balsamic vinegarette dash with garlik croutons and salad with chicken slices. I cook their breakfast.

8:30 - I french kiss my hubby for 10 minutes on the lips before leaving the house. He’s still sleeping. My husband is a web developer for Goggle , graduated from MIT and also UCLA , actor and model for Dunhill . I head off to work. Hmm which car today…Ferrari ,BMW M5 or Maserati. I take the black Maserati.

9:00 - Waiting on my desk are the daily earnings reports that my personal assistant , kelvinn, has printed out. I give them a cursory glance. My online media empire is doing well and is now generating enough revenue to support 100 full-time staff. Much appreciated thanks to my trusty mate , kelvinn.

10:00 - Meeting with Mr Donald Trump and his daughter , Ivanka Trump. We brainstorm and conceptualise new ideas. Although I’ve hired the best, brightest minds in the industry I’m still very hands on. I’ve built up everything we see around us from nothing and feel a massive sense of responsibility. I still can’t let anyone work without my input. Not yet. Maybe some day.

11:00 - Sitting in on an interview with a guy wants a job on the Donald Trump Project (DTP). I google his name quietly. Nothing comes up. Sorry mate, not a chance.

12:00 - Italian lunch at a place across town. After lunch ,I visit my brother’s design agency. He is not around. In Paris, they tell me. I’ll shoot him an email when I get back to the office.

14:00 - Investment / acquisition talks with a small startup. I am an architect and also a venture capitalist . A large part of our business is now as venture capitalists in the online world. We’re the best in the industry as we are also a production house who knows our shit. Due Diligence regarding web assets is like breathing to us. The startup looks promising. Dr Finian Tan, my director , tells me what he thinks of the acquisition. I nodded my head and let him settle this for me as I am too busy with Donald Trump .

17:00 - I call my dad. Our restaurant venture in London is going great. He sounds genuinely happy - running a successful Ultra Luxury Chinese restaurant is something he’s wanted to do ever since retiring. Dad says the BBC and Ellen Degeneres from US interviewed him again. We chit-chat about the Iceland and Russia branches planned for next year.

18:00 - My British-Chinese hubby calls. Are we going out or staying in for dinner? I tell him we’re going out and book a table at the family’s favourite restaurant - the kids love the place as it’s run by “the guy from tv” aka Jamie Oliver ,,who else .. At the restaurant we let the kids order for us. They have excellent taste in food (been taught well). I let my daughter try some wine, she squishes up her face.

20:00 - My husband takes the children home. I go back to the office for a while. We just took delivery of 100 Aeron chairs for the staff. Everyone is smiling and bouncing up and down on their new chairs. I sit down to some paperwork and visit the development team working on a couple of projects that I expect great things from.

22:00 - Head home. The kids are already in bed. My British-chinese husband and I sit in the pool (a beautiful infinity pool that I designed) with a glass of champagne and watch the hover-cars fly by in the distance.

So that’s me in 10 years. What about you?

Richard Sanderson - Dreams are my Reality

He's the one

+ as time passes by, the wants and needs of one will change - financial needs, emotional needs, lifestyle needs, bascially everything that will eventually lead them to the wants and needs they desire. One will defintely demand more and more as they grow. Some may realise what they really want in a man/woman that they would love to walk down the aisle with is total opposite with the one they're with now, some may realise that "oh, this is actually the lifestyle that i'm longing for ",some may realise that "what am i doing?wasting my life because of a particular someone or something??" Well...i've realise many things along this path of life that i've choosen...some good things...some not very good things...and some really bad things...All these help me realise the love of God has for me and everyone else. To me love is a powerful feeling/action that one can portray. Love gives u the happiest feeling and so does it gives u the most excruciating pain and hurt u'll never want to go thru. I want to be a person filled with love. I'll walk thru the path of love with my defender in heaven +

+ Love is like a butterfly. The more you chase it, the more it eludes you. But if you just let it fly, it will come to you when you least expect it. Love can make you happy and often it hurts, but love's only special when you give it to someone who is really worth it. So take your time and choose the best. Love isn't about becoming somebody else's 'perfect person.' It's about finding someone who helps you become the best person you can be.

+ i must end my day with a sweet note be it a sweet or an ice-cream and a flying kiss from you , my kermit the frog../..../...+

Bold daring colours - assortment of sushi

Inagiku is a huge restaurant in the convenient location of City Hall, it has a teppanyaki grill, a sushi counter, a tempura bar and a really extensive menu. That being said, I'm not sure what Inagiku has otherwise got going for it because the prices are too high, the patrons are too old (and increasingly, too few) and the weekend parking at Raffles City is a monstrous nightmare given the carousel mass weddings that take place there.

I have found one thing though and I was inspired by Mia's post about a good looking chirashi. Well, see now this is, I think a sexy looking chirashi. And least you think that was a fluke, another night when I went back, I was served this very racy looking number (check out that tuna, baby...).

For all of you Feed at Raffles cardholders, I have a little surprise. This chirashi is one of the things I do go to Inagiku for and it is Great value. There are two kinds of chirashi, I believe this is the regular jou chirashi, there's also a super duper, toro, uni filled chef's chirashi but I usually find that a little overwhelming. This one is usually about $70 which means that if you go in a pair, each bowl is $35.

That's probably cheaper than most half lame Japanese sushi stalls that I know and the fish is excellent. More than that, if you sit at the sushi counter, the chefs make this wonderful broth from the leftover fish of the day, it's an absolutely delicious, piping hot, flavourful soup swimming with the essence of fish, chives, daikon and a little bit of dashi and you only get it if you sit at the sushi counter, not if you sit at the regular tables.

We also ordered some toro sushi and it was subtle but heavenly. I've been told the best day to come to Inagiku is Saturday at lunchtime, right after they receive their morning shipment of fish but definitely the right thing to come to Inagiku with is a good sashimi-appreciating friend and a Feed at Raffles card.

Handsome guys and models at Menotti Italian Restaurant @ Raffles City

I walked past here every morning on my way to work and past here on my way to train station. Come evening time, you will see many extremely good looking executives dining inside or having the $55 set dinner outside. Its very dark . Perhaps so you cannot see that your portion of Lobster Linguine ($25.80) is actually 3 mouthfuls only ...

As usual , i had to search the net to find out more about this dark, hip and beautiful people magnet of a place >>>>>

Since opening in 2004, the Menotti café & bar has been a magnet for the hip and trendy town crowd, and it is not difficult to see why. Located in the prominent at Raffles City Shopping Centre, the restaurant boosts both indoor and outdoor seating, with an ultra chic interior. As part of the Garibaldi group of restaurants, Menotti prides itself in serving fresh, quality and authentic Italian food without burning a hole in the pocket.

The Vibe >>>>>>

The décor of the restaurant is best described as contemporary and minimalist. Menotti's interior, with its warm colours and neat layout is certainly inviting. Simple leather sofas and chairs, paired with solid wood tables against a red and white mural and subtle lighting effects makes it an intimate place for diners to lounge around and have a good meal.

The Food >>>>>>
A good starter would be the Crudo Bruschette ($14) !!!! Compared to my Bruschetta ($4 .50 _ ) at Pasta Mania .... Thin grilled Ciabatta bread is topped with a tomato and onion confit, slices of Parmesan cheese and Parma ham. The paper-thin slices of Parmesan cheese and Parma ham are sliced to perfection and the sweetness of the tomato and onion complement the cheese and ham perfectly.
One of Menotti's Signature dishes is the Lobster Linguine ($25.80). Succulent chunks of lobster are found throughout the dish. The tomato sauce that enrobes the pasta is a delightful mix of sweet and slightly spicy, making it a delight to savour as it is not too overwhelming, allowing the dish to retain the lobster's flavour. As with all of its ingredients, the lobster is bought fresh everyday, so diners can be assured that of its freshness and quality.

For those who prefer a lighter meal, the Eggs Menotti ($15) is a good choice. Crispy Ciabatta, crabmeat and spinach are topped with poached eggs and draped with creamy Hollandaise sauce. Typically a dish for breakfast or brunch, Eggs Menotti, as with all the other egg dishes here, is served throughout the day.

One thing that cannot be missed here are the desserts. Menotti serves a wide range of traditional homemade Italian desserts, ranging from the ubiquitous Tiramisu to the traditional Cannoli to the ever-popular Gelato. Chocolate lovers would delight in the Preziosa ($5.50) , which is made from chocolate, chocolate cream and a molten berry centre. While it might sound like a heavy choice for a dessert, it is not. In fact, the cream is light and fluffy, and not too sweet, while the chocolate's tinge of bitterness goes perfectly well with the berries, making it a perfect end to a meal.

For those who prefer something fruitier, try the Limoncino ($5.50) , a pie made of lemon custard and meringue, with an almond pastry crust. The light zesty lemon flavour is sure to whet your appetite for more desserts to come!

The Service >>>>>

The service is quick and attentive, and you can always be sure that your glass of water is never empty. They also make sure that the surroundings are clean and that the tables, which are actually quite small, are free of clutter. That the staff is polite and very well groomed is a plus.

The SD Food Advisor's take on Menotti >>>>>
Menotti is definitely worth a visit, with the yummy food, casual atmosphere and great location. However, as the restaurant does not take reservations for small groups, do be sure to turn up early it can get really crowded during meal times, especially on Fridays and weekends.

5.5 /10
coz there have been many complaints of noise and chatter inside the restaurant that it disrupts the mood of dining .
